Welcome to the improved Chapter Website V2.0

Posted on November 7, 2013 at 6:15 PM

Hi Gents.

Welcome to the Chapter 1254 Blog (WEBLOG for the uninitiated). I guess I should call this Website 2.0 as it has been quite a while since I have updated it. I hope to keep it more current, but  will need the help of the membership to send materials and photos and even videos. I'm trying to figure out how to allow members to upload stuff but haven't gotten there yet. The intent of the website and blog is to facilitate communication between meetings. Ideas for the website can be posted as a comment here. Note the more extensive list of pages to the left. Getting a bit more stuff in them now. Member roster coming soon!

Cheers,  Loy

I've seen sites where the members names are posted with photos-have camera and will travel.

Danny could contribute every month or so on his Onex project.

I put the photo section up with Danny in mind. Maybe we can get members to post their airplane pics too. I just have to figure out how it works.

Riveted the rudder yesterday, & my new drill bits will arrive today. That will allow me to drill the last hole in the rudder horn. Going to start on the elevator this weekend. Hope it turns out as good as the other parts have!

Headed to 3MY this afternoon.A Sonex Rep. will be attending the 1st. Experimental fly in for chapter #563. I'm taking my Aerovee engine crankshaft with me. I'm having a issue with the flywheel end bearing. He will then take it back to Sonex to determine why that bearing will not fit. I'm at a stand still on my engine build. Hope I get it back soon!
